Office Stories + Your Video's = 10% of BizzFlip

San Francisco– BizzFlip announced today the date of commencement for a first of its kind contest sure to shake up not just the tech world, but the corporate world as well. Beginning August 1st, people from around the world can submit their entries on the BizzFlip website: a 30 to 60 second video inspired by the popular blog, The 10% Lunch.

One entrepreneur will win what may well become Web 2.0’s grandest prize- 10% ownership, in private stock, of BizzFlip, Inc. After the semi-finalists are chosen by a panel of judges, people will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite video on MySpace TV.

The 10% Lunch, a blog authored by BizzFlip, represents the way many people feel about the corporate workplace. The blog (based on an actual event) outlines a scenario between a middle manger and his subordinate in which the subordinate was chastised for returning from lunch just three minutes late. People are experiencing scenarios like this one and as a result an increasing number of disgruntled employees are opting to become their own manager. It’s no coincidence that more and more television shows are premised by the satire of the workplace. Television shows like “The Office” have become instant hits with viewers around the world.
